Today’s post is all about you…or at least what you would experience if you every came to our house and stayed in our guest room.
I think I had a harder time picking out bedding for the guest room that I did for our own room. I really wanted this bedding all along but it was Nautica and more expensive than I wanted; I bought at least two other bedspreads, brought them home, tried them out, but just wasn’t happy. I finally broke down and bought the bedding that I originally loved (from Bed, Bath, and Beyond). So guests, just know that I worked hard to give you a pleasing place to lay your head. The bedroom suite was one my parents had but didn’t use anymore so they let us have it. The linen-y burlap-y curtains that you can barely see on the left were from Bed, Bath, and Beyond and the lamp was from Target. The pillow was one that I “made” myself like the ones in our bedroom. I used an old throw pillow and used my hemming tape to make the pillowcase.
The other dresser. It actually has a mirror that goes on it but we never got around to putting it on. Most of the stuff on the dresser (candle holder, pitcher, vase, etc.) were from yard sales and Goodwill. I use the dresser to store all my gift wrapping supplies (mostly just gift bags – I’m a lazy gift wrapper, plus I have a million still from our wedding).
I know it’s weird to take all these pictures of closets, but we have some serious closet space in this house! That is one of my favorite parts. This is the closet in the guest bathroom and it is no dinky linen closet, that thing is ginormous!
