I combined three of Michael’s favorite foods – chocolate chip cookies, dark chocolate, and Duncan Hines icing – to make some delicious Christmas cookie cups.
I started with our favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe and added these things:
dark chocolate m&m’s, dark chocolate chips, and Duncan Hines creamy homestyle chocolate icing (also used here)
I used my chocolate chip cookie recipe but used the dark chocolate morsels instead of regular chocolate chips (the dark chocolate morsels are new and I grabbed some at Kroger last week to try – honestly I don’t think they made the cookies taste any different from regular chocolate chips, plus they were a lot bigger)
Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups
- ingredients needed for your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe
- chocolate icing (I used Duncan Hines Creamy Homestyle)
- m&m’s (I used dark chocolate)
Mix up your chocolate chip cookie dough. Spoon dough into mini muffin tins; preheat oven to 375 and bake the cookies for 9 minutes. Let cookies cool for two minutes then use the back of a spoon to create an indentation in the top of the cookie cups. Remove cookie cups and let cookie cups cool completely. Fill a ziploc baggie with icing, cut off the tip, and pipe into the indentation in the cookie cups. Then top with m&m’s.
