I have a beautiful Longaberger recipe box.
I had two ideas of how to use the recipe box, but I’m not sure which one I’m going to go with.
idea #1: to hold cards and make a little “greeting card station”
idea #2: to hold jewelry on my dresser
This is how the majority of my jewelry is stored – in a tackle box. It’s not at all pretty but it’s easy to keep it fairly organized and it’s really easy to pack the whole thing in my suitcase if I don’t want to have to decide ahead of time what jewelry I want to use. That being said, at some point I would like to have a prettier way to store my jewelry. Plus it’s pretty shallow so some of my large bangle bracelets don’t fit (that’s what I put in the recipe box).
I’m still undecided. I love the idea of the little card center; I think it’s adorable. However, I need a place to store jewelry more than I need a place to store cards because the cards already have a spot in the office. So for right now I’m using it to hold my bracelets, but maybe someday it can be a card station. And maybe someday it’ll do back to being a recipe box. We’ll see.
