What I Wore Wednesday

I am love-love-loving the spring weather!  Tuesday the high was 85!  I am definitely a spring/summer girl so this weather has made me so happy.Wednesday – Bible study, work, church

Thursday afternoon my co-worker, Donna, and I took our usual afternoon walk around campus.  We knew there was rain coming but we thought we had a good hour until it started.  We thought wrong.  halfway through our walk the skies opened up and it poured.  We ran to the nearest building (and fortunately made it there before the hail started!) and waited for a while but the radar showed that it was going to rain for a long time and we needed to get back to work.  So once the hail had stopped and the rain had let up a little we started walking back to our building.  In the rain.  With no umbrellas or jackets.  By the time we got back to our building we were soaked – I mean like dipped-in-a-pool soaking wet.  I was finally almost dry by the time I left work.  What a day!

Friday I didn’t have to go to school or work…I went to the gym Friday morning but then spent the rest of the day lounging around the house in my jambes :)  It’s been a while since I’ve gotten to do that and it was so nice!

Saturday – spray tan, shopping, date night

I love getting spray tans!  I love to be tan but I will not use a tanning bed so a spray tan is perfect.  This weekend Suntan City was offering $5 spray tans so I took advantage of that great deal!  I use the lightest setting so that I don’t get too dark or orange and I think it’s perfect.  The only thing I don’t like it that my hands usually get a little darker/spotty than the rest of my body, no matter how careful I am, but that usually goes away within two days so it’s worth it.

Sunday morning – church

dress/Old Navy; shoes/Shoe Carnival (old)

I am loving this dress!  I bought it Saturday at Old Navy and I was really surprised how much I like it, especially since I’m usually not a huge fan of Old Navy.  It’s super comfortable and very versatile.  I love things that can be dressed up or down.  I decided to wear it again Sunday night, I just changed out my accessories to make it a little more casual.

(you can get your own here)

I switched to my green flats (Qupid via Rugged Wearhouse aka Gabriel Bros) and wore a more casual bracelet and earrings

Monday – practicum

shirt/Gabriel Bros; jeans/F21; shoes/TOMS via Journey’s

These skinny jeans were another fun purchase from my short shopping trip Saturday.  I hear people gushing over Forever 21 all the time and we actually have one in Bowling Green, but I just haven’t taken the time to go in there and shop.  After perusing the What I Wore Wednesday posts from last week I noticed several people wearing some pastel skinny pants from Forever 21 – I thought they were cute and decided to go see if I could find some.  My F21 only had light blue left, and they didn’t fit me right anyway, which was a bummer, but I decided to grab a pair of jeans to try on (if you’re a regular reader you know I have 2 pairs of Gap jeans that get worn multiple times a week and I could really use some more jeans to add to the rotation!) – these fit really well and were incredibly comfortable…and guess what else?  Only $10.50!!!  Amazing.  I’m sure they won’t last as long as the others but for $10.50 you just can’t beat that!  Happy day.  Be prepared to see a lot of them…

Tuesday – work, graduate fair (got my cap and gown –  I’m almost done!)
