How to make an easy and inexpensive DIY nursing tank top

Breastfeeding mommies do I have a treat for you!  Did you know that it is super easy and very inexpensive to make your own DIY nursing tank?  Sooooo easy!

In case you don’t know what that is, a nursing tank clips to a nursing bra and is super handy for people who like to do the “two shirt” breastfeeding method (pull the top shirt up so baby can breastfeed and then the bottom shirt, or nursing tank, keeps your stomach covered).  You can purchase nursing tanks but they’re usually $25ish…orrrr you can make one yourself for about $2.00!

Instead of straps, nursing tanks have loops that attach to your nursing bra clips.  That keeps the tank in place while still allowing access for baby to eat.

Here’s how to make one!

Because of this I’ve been able to make a ton in a variety of colors and not spend much money at all!  DIY nursing tank tutorial for breastfeeding Flip the shirt over and use a pair of scissors to clip the tank strap from where it connects to the back of the tank.DIY nursing tank tutorial for breastfeeding It’ll look like this – still attached on the front but not on the backDIY nursing tank tutorial for breastfeeding Take the strap and make a small loop – large enough to slide over the clip of your nursing bra.
