I have been using Erin Condren planners for years – first the Life Planner as my personal planner and then when I started homeschooling I also began using the Erin Condren Teacher Planner as my homeschool planner. I modified it to meet my homeschool needs and it worked just fine, but then last year Erin Condren came out with a planner specifically for homeschoolers and it’s as if they reached into my brain (or watched my “how I modify my EC teacher planner for homeschooling” videos, which is a bit more likely ;) ) and made the homeschool planner with all the things I put in my modified teacher planner. I am very excited about! Here’s a look inside the Erin Condren Homeschool Planner.

Erin Condren Teacher Planner Flip Through
The Erin Condren Homeschool Planner is a large, coil bound planner. It has a lot of similarities to the EC Teacher Planner but with some changes to make it homeschool-specific.
These pages at the beginning have spots for you to put information about your homeschool, your state requirements, your curriculum, and other important info.
At the beginning of each month there is a spot to put information about unit studies, field trips, etc. for the month.
The homeschool planner is an undated planner so you can start any time during the year (great for us homeschoolers who like to march to the beat of our own drums!) by filling in your preferred month.
The weekly layout is also undated and therefore could be used either horizontally or vertically.
There is a spread for you to list your curriculum resources
…and one of my favorite parts: the reading log! There are multiple reading log pages so you can use them for multiple kids (or if you read and record a LOT of books each year!)
Another one of my favorite parts: the attendance tracker! I’ve been making my own each year but now I don’t have to! There are 4 attendance trackers so you can track your kids’ attendance separately.
In the back are three pages of stickers to use in the planner
As well as a large, two sided pocket and a built in page protector.
There are also several lined pages throughout, an area to record contacts, and several pages for records/tracking that I didn’t show in these pictures.
What I love:
Like I said, they basically took the homeschool planner from my brain and put it on paper so I think it’s pretty much perfect! But some of my favorite things are:
- The reading log
- The attendance tracker (and the fact that it’s for more than one child)
- The undated weekly layout that gives it so much versatility
- All the places to record homeschool-specific info like curriculum, field trips, etc.
What I don’t like
There are a couple of things that I would change if I could. They aren’t major items, but if given the opportunity I’d make a few small tweaks. What I don’t care for is:
- That there is only one size option for the homeschool planner. I have been using the EC softbound teacher planner for several years, which is smaller than the coilbound, and I prefer the smaller size. The softbound planner is also cheaper than the coilbound and I find that most homeschoolers are of the frugal sort ;). I’m hoping that in the future Erin Condren will also offer a softbound homeschool planner so that people who want a cheaper and/or smaller option will have that.
- That there aren’t any grid/graph pages or even just several lined pages together. I like to use those pages to sketch out my yearly overview and this planner only has a few lined pages sprinkled throughout, not enough side by side to do my prefered layout. I would swap out some of the trackers in the back for several sheets of graph/gid paper or lined paper if I could.
Overall I LOVE it and I can’t wait to set it up for next year!
