This bug swat review game is a super easy and fun activity! I use it as a review game but I’m sure there are a variety of other creative ways to use it. I’ll be using these with my class as a Classical Conversations tutor this year, but these bugs are so versatile and can be used at church, at camp, at preschool, at school…so many things you could do with them!
How do you use the bugs?
What I do is print and laminate the bugs, use a wet or dry erase marker to write on the back of the bugs, lay them out (or put them on the whiteboard), and let the kids smack them with flyswatters. The bug they smack has the review question they need to answer.

I made two sets of bugs: a cutesy set and a more realistic set. I think the cutesy ones are adorable but figured the kids would enjoy smacking the more realistic bugs better so those are the ones I’m using in class. But both are included in the download so you can pick the ones you like best!
If you’re a Classical Conversations tutor reading this: I made these to use during review time. I intend to write something like “Hw2” (History week 2) or “Sw5” (Science week 5) to indicate which piece of memory work they have to recite. In order use them like that you need 42 bugs (the last 6 weeks of memory work x the 7 strands). The realistic bugs have 42 so you only have to print those once; the cutesy bugs have 21 so you’ll need to print two sets of those in order to get enough.
