A few years ago I bought a Zoe Tour+ and absolutely fell in LOVE with it! (I’ve raved about it previously and you can see my review here) Well it was fanstastic when I just had one kiddo in a stroller but when we had baby #4 I needed to go back to a double. Since I loved my Zoe Tour so much I decided to give the Zoe Twin+ a try and it has been great too! I’ve had it over a year now so it’s time for me to give my Zoe Twin review.
UPDATE Zoe has come out with a newer version, the Twin V2, since I wrote this post. It’s very similar to what I show here with some upgrades like sturdier wheels that can handle bumpier terrain, sturdier storage baskets underneath, and a CARSEAT ADAPTOR! Yay!!
Zoe Twin+ Review
The spoiler: this is a great stroller! I love it! I love that it’s lightweight, doesn’t take up a ton of space, and is sturdy but not bulky.

Zoe Twin+ Review: Features
Let’s get in to the features:
The Zoe Twin has an aluminum frame and weighs in at 19 pounds. It has been tested up to a 45 pound weight limit for the seat (though I’ve had kids over 45 pounds sit in it briefly and it’s hasn’t been a problem)
To fold it you just reach down into the crease of the seat, grab the small strap, and pull up. Very easy to do! Unlike the Tour it is not a one handed fold, you do need two hands.
NOTE: When you fold it, make sure the seats are reclined back in order for the stroller to fold flat. If you leave the seats upright it will not fold easily or fold all the way down. I did not know this when I got my stroller and thought it was broken! I spent tons of time trying to figure out what was wrong with it and was on the verge of contacting Zoe to return it when I finally found a Facebook post about it and explaining that the seats needed to be reclined first.
Here’s what it looks like folded up in my van. Look at all the space! It’s a double stroller so of course it’s not going to be teeny but compared to some of the other doubles I’ve had (Bugaboo Donkey, Bumbleride Indie Twin, Baby Jogger City Select) this thing takes up waaayyyy less space!
In fact, I can easily store both my Zoe Twin and Zoe Tour in the van and still have extra space! Right now we’re at the stage where sometimes I just need a single (the library, our homeschool co-op, etc. – places where my 4 year old is fine to walk) but sometimes still need the double (walks around the neighborhood, the zoo – places where my 4 year old might want to ride for a while) so I typically keep both strollers in the car. Thankfully they both fit easily!
There is a little latch that keeps it closed while folded – to unfold it just open that latch and expand the stroller back out.
There are two d-rings on one side of the stroller frame that you can use to attach one or two straps (sold separately) and carry it over your shoulder. That’s not a feature that I use but it is a nice option for those who want it.
The handlebar is not adjustable but can easily be pushed one handed. UPDATE – the new Twin V2 has an adjustable handlebar! It comes with a cupholder on the side – it’s not the sturdiest in the world but it works fine. I usually use the cupholder for my phone and put any drinks we have in the parent console that I have attached to the stroller.
The Zoe Twin has two huge canopies with 4 total panels and UPF 50+ lining. They give great coverage and really cover everything but their legs when fully extended.
The canopy has a magnetic peek-a-boo mesh window so you can look in on your kids. I do wish it had the ability to open that window and keep it open – it tends to flop closed while we’re walking, especially if it’s windy. That’s a minor complaint in the grand scheme of things but I hope someday they’ll fix that.
UPDATE – the new Twin V2 has latchable peek-a-boo windows!! Hooray!!
The seat has a 5 point harness with adjustable straps that is very easy to use. It has a great recline and lays almost flat (165 degree recline). So not newborn approved since it’s not totally flat but good for babies who are a few months old and up. It’s also very easy to adjust the recline each seat with one hand (I’ve had strollers in the past where the recline was nearly impossible so this is a huge plus for me!)
The back of the canopy has a flap you can unvelcro and roll up for additional ventilation.
There are also pockets on the back of each of the seats. My parent console usually hangs down in front of that so I rarely use them but they are there if you want them.
The foot rest is adjustable and is very easy to operate by using two little levers. I’ve had strollers where the foot rest adjustment would nearly cut your fingers off when you’re trying to maneuver it so this is nice to have one that is so easy!
There is a belly bar is included with the stroller as well as two cup holders and snack holder that you can use instead of the belly bar.
The cup holders are not super deep so sippy cups are a little tippy and the snack holder is just so-so. I purchased the additional snack tray and like that much better. You can get a double snack tray or you can use a single one just one side. I went with the single because I have a toddler I want to keep relatively contained (so the snack tray goes on his side) and a 4 year old who I want to be able to easily get in and out so I don’t have a tray on her side (otherwise we’d have to lift her in and out all the time). I just put one of the included cup holders on her side.
The points where you can put the cup holders/snack cup or the snack tray (or a combo of both like I have) is also where you can add on an additional attachment to turn your stroller into a triple or quad stroller. This is SUCH a neat feature! It makes the stroller so versatile for families with lots of babies/little ones close together!
The basket underneath is decent. It’s pretty sturdy, definitely sturdier than the all mesh basket that I have on my older model Zoe Tour+. The bar in the middle makes it hard to put anything large in there but you can fit lots of smaller things.
The break is easy to use and flip flop friendly.
I just have the standard wheels that come on the Classic but if you buy the upgraded Luxe model it has nicer wheels that I’ve heard are way better. If you already have the Classic like me you can also purchase the Luxe wheels by themselves and switch them out with yours.
It’s an easy push over flat terrain but doesn’t do great on grass, definitely not good on gravel, and doesn’t easily go over curbs and bumps. That’s all to be expected for a lightweight stroller like this so I’m fine with it, but don’t expect this to be a jogging stroller or all terrain stroller. Zoe does now sell all terrain wheels you can use but I haven’t used them myself and haven’t heard great reviews about them.
UPDATE – the new Twin V2 has upgraded wheels that are meant for bumpier surfaces and light off roading
Note: there are locks on the front wheels – many people do not realize that when they get their stroller. Unlocking them will allow the wheels to swivel, keeping them locked will keep the wheels straight and supposedly make for a better push on uneven ground. I never lock mine so I can’t say one way or the other. Also, the twin is supposed to stand on it’s own while folded if you have the front wheels locked but again, I never lock mine so I don’t know, I just lean it up against something since it won’t stand on it’s own.
Is the Zoe Twin+ Disney approved?
Yes!! One of the things that makes the Zoe Twin so popular is that it is a great Disney stroller! I have not taken my kids to Disney yet so I don’t have personal experience with this, but I see people raving about the Twin for Disney all the time in various mommy groups and stroller groups on Facebook.
Zoe Twin+ accessories
Zoe sells a parent organizer. I have not personally used the Zoe one but I have this one from Amazon and it works great. It gives me a lot of extra space (especially cup holders!) and doesn’t get in the way of the stroller recline or fold. I use it on both my Tour+ and my Twin+. If you want a stroller organizer that goes the full length of the Twin, this one and this one are popular choices.
I also have a mommy hook attached to the side of my stroller. This is handy for hanging additional bags like when I’m shopping at the mall. I also have a silicone cup holder and some hooks I can hang diaper bags/tote bags on.
There is also a storage backpack you can purchase. I have one for my Zoe Tour+ but I don’t have the one for the Twin.
Some other accessories that I don’t have but think look neat include mesh storage bags that hang on the side of the stroller (these look so great for extra storage, especially if you’re out for long periods of time like at Disney or the zoo!), foot muffs and bunting (like little sleeping bags that attach to the stroller seat – so great if you walk outside when it’s cold out!, and seat liners.
Zoe Twin+ Review: PROS
Here’s my list of pros for the Zoe Twin:
- Light
- Compact
- Easy to use
- Takes up a small amount of space compared to most other double strollers
- Great for travel
- Sturdy
Just such an easy, amazing stroller!
Zoe Twin+ Review: CONS
And my cons:
- It does not do well on uneven surfaces or going up on a curb. (which I knew it wouldn’t and wouldn’t expect it to, but still something to note because that may factor into your decision)
The peekaboo window will not stay open(not a con anymore now that they’ve fixed that on the Twin V2!)- You have to recline the seats before you fold it (that takes all of 10 seconds so it’s not a huge deal, but it does add one extra step)
