Hexie Stripe Quilt

I recently finished up a Hexie Stripe quilt and had a do a glamour shoot to show her off! I love the hexagons and how colorful this one is!

(…recently as in almost a year ago – I found this post in my drafts and realized I never posted it!  Whoops!)

This was a fun one that came together pretty quickly.

So many of my quilts have white backgrounds and I love that this one is so colorful with no white in sight! All the prints were from the same collection – my local quilt shop had them grouped together and I fell in love immediately! I added in a few coordinating solids and I’m so happy with how the color scheme turned out.

I hand quilted each of the hexagons with dark blue and light blue thread.

Hexie Stripe Quilt details:

  • Pattern – Hexie Stripe pattern by Suzy Quilts
  • Fabric – Moonchild collection by Cotton & Joy for Riley Blake (all the prints) mixed with a few solids from my LQS
  • Quilting – hand quilted with DMC perle cotton, 8wt., in #336 (navy blue) and #519 (sky blue)
